Emerald Airlines, the exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional services began its new route between Dublin and Rennes on Friday 22 September, operated by EI-GPP ATR72-212A(600) msn 1322 EAI3904 (ATC callsign EAI04MJ) departing Dublin 1122 arriving Rennes 1344.
Emerald Airlines Head of Commercial Ian Lough said “We were delighted to welcome a full flight of excited Irish fans onboard today. It’s great to see such enthusiasm as they head off to support their home team. We are backing the Irish team every step of the way, all the way to the final!. We are seeing a huge demand from fans looking to travel to Paris for the World Cup games and so we encourage passengers to book these highly-sought after flights soon to avoid disappointment.”
The twice weekly service will operate from 22nd September to 30 October, to facilitate those travelling to Paris for the Rugby World Cup.
Rennes, the capital city of the Brittany region of France, has efficient transport links to Paris including frequent intercity high-speed trains (TGV), with up to 15 trains per day with an average journey time of 1 hour 45 mins to Paris Montparnasse station.
