Emerald Airlines (UK) has been granted its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) making it UK’s newest airline. The carrier is listed on the CAA website, AOC number 2487 with type approval ATR72-212A and under UK-Part-TCO for third country operators listed as Full TCO number 462 and AOC 71-21.

The aircraft operated its first Emerald Airlines (UK) flight on 7th December from Belfast City to Southampton as EIN3604/5 (ATC callsign EAG75/6QP).

The first aircraft registered to Emerald Airlines (UK)  is G-CMJN msn 1471 on 5th October former EI-GZY. EI-GZY operated its last flight for Emerald Airlines (Ireland) on 19th September 2022 from Dublin to Bristol vv as EIN3286/7.

The aircraft positioned Dublin (DUB) to Belfast City (BHD) via Isle of Man (IOM) on 5th October. The next day commenced operating an series of proving and training flights to City of Derry (LDY), Cork (ORK), Dublin (DUB) and Southampton (SOU) according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.
