On Tuesday 22rd November Ryanair’s Boeing 737-8200 msn 62301 positioned from Dublin to Funchal (FNC) using its registration as callsign for formal new base announcement next day. According to Flightradar24 the aircraft departed Dublin 1331 local arriving Funchal (FNC)1647 local.
The aircraft returned to Dublin next day arriving 1709 local using its registration as callsign prior to returning to London Stansted (STN) base as RYR820 later same evening.
The aircraft operated London Stansted (STN) to Dublin as RYR271 on 20th November and on 21st November operated Dublin to Faro (FAO) RYR7032/3 and Dublin (DUB) to Lisbon (LIS) RYR7138/7.
Ryanair announced the opening of its fifth base in Portugal at Funchal on 23rd November with 2 Boeing 737-800 aircraft, representing an investment of $200m operating 40 weekly flights operating 10 new routes to Brussels Charleroi, Dublin, Lisbon, London Stansted, Manchester, Marseille and Milan Bergamo, Nuremberg, Paris Beauvais and Porto.
The new Dublin route will operate twice weekly from 3rd April on Wednesdays and Sundays using a Funchal (FNC) based aircraft. RYR362 departs Funchal (FNC) at 1220 arrives Dublin 1550. RYR363 departs Dublin 1920 arrives Funchal (FNC) 2300.

Ryanair operates five bases in Portugal at Faro (FAO), Lisbon (LIS), Ponta Delgada (PDL) and Porto (OPO).
