Aer Lingus (UK) formally received its AOC from the UK CAA on 9 July , clearing the way for the airline to launch operations.
EI-ELA Airbus A330-302 MSN 1106 “St Patrick / Padraig” was re-registered as G-EILA to Aer Lingus UK on 5th July at Dublin Airport..
Due to international borders opening later than expected, Aer Lingus (UK) is postponing the start of new transatlantic services between Manchester Airport and New York JFK and Orlando commencing on 30th September, and to Barbados on 20th October. The routes will be operated on a code-share with IAG sister company British Airways.
Aer Lingus (UK) headquartered in Belfast City and based in Manchester will operate two A330-300s and one A321NEO-LR’s Bridgetown, New York/JFK and Orlando.
The carrier plans to add Boston in March 2022.
