On Thursday 13th May history was made at Ireland West Airport Knock with the first arrival of an Airbus A330-300 aircraft following the arrival of the Airbus A380-800 in February 2020.

The aircraft registered A7-AEA Airbus A330-302 MSN 0623 Qatar Airways departed Doha in basic colours as QTR3254 at 0421 local arriving Ireland West Airport Knock at 0925 parking on the EirTrade Aviation Ramp.

EirTrade Aviation has carried out airframe disassembly on Airbus A319, Airbus A320, Airbus A321, Airbus A380-800, Boeing 737 Classic, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 757-200 aircraft types at Ireland West Airport Knock (IWAK) since the facility opened in 2013.

Air Inter was the launch customer for the Airbus A330-300. The first A330-300 delivery was on 17 January 1994. The A330-300 has a range of 11,750 km or 6,350 nautical miles with 250-290 passengers. 

Airbus has delivered a total of 771 aircraft since the programme was launched in 1994. The A330 is the third most delivered wide-body airliner after the Boeing 777 and Boeing 747.
