JetBlue Airways yesterday officially Aer Lingus to JetBlue’s Terminal 5 at New York JFK after the carrier moved to the terminal on 3rd April, further developing the partnership which began in 2008, as part of the move JetBlue will provide ground handling services to Aer Lingus.

Aer Lingus VP Customer Service & Airport Operations North America Kevin Reichart said “We are excited about our move to JetBlue’s ‘state of the art’ Terminal 5. This is a further development of our partnership. Aer Lingus and JetBlue share a dedication to our customers and enjoy reputations for providing great value service. Customers will now enjoy the convenience of same terminal connections and faster connecting times, in addition to the unique T5 experience.”

JetBlue Airways Senior Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy Marty St. George said “We are pleased to welcome Aer Lingus, our long-time partners, into our home at Terminal 5. This move will not only strengthen our partnership but provide customers with expedited connection times and seamless travel between the U.S. and Ireland. Further, Aer Lingus customers will be able to enjoy our award-winning facility when arriving and departing to Ireland.”

Aer Lingus has its own dedicated area within the terminal allowing for easy check in; including self-service kiosks and curbside check-in, baggage drop-off for customers using web check-in and seamless flight connections.

The award-winning, state-of-the-art Terminal 5 offers great features and amenities including:

  • Up to 15 security lanes
  • 26 gates with seats aplenty
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Minimum 60 minute connecting time on US domestic routes and 40 minute connecting time to Ireland from 14th April
  • 55,000 sq. feet of great food and shopping, including 24 food & beverage outlets and 27 retail outlets
  • Large children’s play area and much more! 

Aer Lingus operates Dublin to New York JFK double daily and Shannon to New York JFK four times weekly.
