Abbeyshrule based directSky Aviation European Sales center for the CubCrafters light aircraft and sister center in Mielec Poland, announced the delivery of 58 new airplanes during calendar 2012, a 23% increase over 2011, and more units than any year in the company’s history. CubCrafters’ 2012 deliveries are spread across their three models: Carbon Cub SS, Sport Cub S2, and Top Cub. In addition to these ready-to-fly planes, the company has also shipped 24 of their Carbon Cub EX kits in 2012, another record.

To meet demand the company invested in a major expansion of their FAA-certified manufacturing facility, adding a 15,000 square foot weld and CNC machine shop during the year, with first deliveries of Carbon Cub SS to commence in a few weeks, European General Aviation Market turns its interest into that unique construction.

CubCrafters continues to receive orders for their three models at a brisk pace. As of this date, the company is now booked well into 2013, with 66 aircraft expected to be delivered  in 2013.

directSky Aviation Managing Director Kamil Skorupski said “We couldn’t ask for a better start. European General Aviation marked waited long time for such a versatile and unique construction as Carbon Cub. With huge interest from General Public, Aviation Associations and Organizations, we can’t wait to see this amazing aircraft being used for all type of flights from pure recreation to hardest tasks as glider towing and many more. With multiple orders and endless CC enquiries, we are looking forward to an upcoming aviation season “.
