Easyjet has launched a new route between Belfast International and Birmingham operating daily, increasing to 12 times weekly from the start of winter schedule next Monday 29th October using Airbus A319 equipment. Easyjet has a total of 23 routes from Belfast International, the highest number of routes it has operated from the airport.

Belfast International Airport MD John Doran said “Birmingham was an obvious gap on the departure boards at Belfast International Airport and we are delighted that easyJet is able to reaffirm their commitment to the region with the launch of this new route”.

EasyJet Commercial Manager Ali Gayward said “This new route has been driven by customer demand and we are delighted to launch an easy and affordable option of travel from Belfast to the city of Birmingham, Our flights to Birmingham will be year-round. We will be flying at peak times to meet the needs of our business passengers and the fares will also offer leisure passengers affordable access to the Midlands”.

Northern Ireland Transport Minister Danny Kennedy MLA said “This will undoubtedly enhance access between Northern Ireland and the Midlands and I am pleased that easyJet is increasing the choice for consumers”.
