Air France announced 29 March regional subsidiary Air France HOP is to enhance passenger experience onboard its 21 Embraer 190 aircraft operated on services from Paris CDG to Cork and Dublin. An refurbishment programme will get underway at end of summer season at HOP’s maintenance facility in Clermont-Ferrand. The first Embraer 190 aircraft will take to the skies in autumn 2024.

The carrier selected Expliseat, the French manufacturer of the world’s lightest aircraft seat, announced today that Air France has selected its innovative TiSeat, Making Air France the launch customer of the new product, enhancing the travel experience thanks to a new human-centric design philosophy.

The TiSeat combines unparalleled reduction in seat weight, significant improvement in seat robustness and sustainability with advanced comfort and design features, setting a new standard for economic efficiency, elegance and functionality.

The seats will be unveiled in May at Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg and will be produced at Expliseat’s new factory in Angers (France).

Air France said that the upgrade would bring the aircraft in line with the seating on its Airbus A220-300 fleet.
