Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional services, has announced a suite of passenger service enhancements at Edinburgh Airport, unveiled this week via the airline’s official LinkedIn page. The improvements are part of a collaborative initiative between Emerald Airlines led by Dean McCarthy, Edinburgh Airport, and ground handling partner Swissport.

The collaborative initiative enhances the airport experience for Aer Lingus Regional passengers and includes several new features designed to improve convenience and efficiency.

Among the key changes is the introduction of a dedicated, uniformed Aer Lingus customer service team on-site to assist travelers throughout their journey. In addition, passengers booked on flights departing before midday can now check in and drop their baggage the evening before, offering added flexibility and reduced stress on travel days.

To further ease congestion, the airline has extended its check-in hours and increased the number of check-in desks. The Aer Lingus Regional check-in area has also relocated to Zone D, now offering a more spacious and accessible environment for departing passengers.

The carrier currently operates up to four daily flights between Belfast City and Edinburgh and up to five daily services from Dublin to Edinburgh, using 72-seat ATR72-600 aircraft.
