Aer Lingus has ramped up its North American schedule for the summer season, adding more frequent service to key U.S. destinations. Effective 3 July through 24 October, the Irish flag carrier has increased flights from Dublin to Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MSP) from six times weekly to daily, with the addition of a new Saturday service. Simultaneously, the Dublin–Philadelphia route has been boosted from five times weekly to daily operations, with flights added on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Both routes are operated using the airline’s Airbus A321 and Airbus A321LR aircraft. These aircraft are configured in a two-class layout, accommodating 184 passengers and offering a transatlantic product that rivals widebody services in comfort and efficiency.

Aer Lingus currently operates eight A321LRs and three A321XLRs, with three additional XLR aircraft expected for delivery by the end of the year. The expanding fleet underpins the airline’s strategy to strengthen its role as a market leader in North American connectivity, leveraging Dublin’s position as a transatlantic hub with U.S. Customs and Border Protection preclearance.

According to the AIB Family aviation website, the next two A321XLR aircraft, registered D-AZXO (EI-XLU), MSN 12142, and D-AVYM (EI-XLW), MSN 12463, have been spotted at Airbus’s Hamburg-Finkenwerder facility with engines installed, signaling imminent delivery.
