Effective 3 June through 25 October 2025, Aer Lingus has introduced a combination of 184-seat capacity Airbus A321LR and A321XLR aircraft on its daily EIN127/6 service between Dublin and Toronto Pearson International, replacing the larger 263-seat Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
According to Flightradar24 data, the initial services on 3–4 June were operated by A321LR aircraft (EI-LRC and EI-LRF), with the A321XLR taking over from 5 June onward.
The strategic deployment of the Airbus A321LR/XLR highlights Aer Lingus’s commitment to enhancing fleet flexibility and operational efficiency across its transatlantic network. In parallel, the airline is significantly increasing its use of the A321LR on European routes during the summer 2025 season, further leveraging the economies of scale and network adaptability offered by its single-aisle long-range platform. With three additional A321XLR aircraft scheduled for delivery by year-end.
The Dublin-Toronto market is highly competitive this summer season served by Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air Transat and WestJet, with 1,000 daily seats available each way.
