Aer Lingus continues to utilize its Airbus A330-300 fleet to operate ad-hoc US charter cargo flights supporting the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Aer Lingus has served four new US destinations since the Covid global pandemic to cater for cargo market operating to Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas Forth Worth and Greenville in addition to operating charters to destinations such as Miami and New York JFK.

IAG CEO Luis Gallego speaking on a Investor Call conference call 30th July stated “As passenger demand starts to recover, cargo-only flying is likely to reduce as co-sponsored flights with passenger business are increasing”.

This has been reflected at Aer Lingus since July A330 passenger operations have been steadily growing as the aircraft are deployed on routes to Boston, Chicago, Faro, London Heathrow, Malaga and New York JFK as travel restrictions eased in Ireland.
