Aer Lingus has restored connectivity on its Dublin to Toronto with effect from Friday 17 September after a pause of 18 months due to the global pandemic, becoming the fifth destination to be served in North America from its Dublin Hub.
The service will initially operate twice weekly till the 23rd September and then increases to four flights per week until 17th December and daily for Christmas.
Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry said “At long last we are re-establishing our direct service to Toronto and can once again connect families, friends and businesses across the Atlantic. This is an important milestone in the recovery of our business and will no doubt be very meaningful to those with Irish-Canadian connections.”
Dublin Airport and Toronto Pearson airports welcomed resumption of the service in tweets.
The first service EIN127 was operated by EI-LRC Airbus A321-253NX MSN 8965 departing Dublin at 1432 local.
