Aer Lingus recommenced 5 April its non-stop service between Dublin and Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) operating daily service through to 24 October 2025. The first service (EIN89/8) was operated by EI-XLR Airbus A321-253NY(XLR) msn 11348 named ‘St Lelia / Liadhain’. In 2024 the route was served four times weekly using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Aer Lingus is expanding its North American network in 2025, adding two new destinations: Indianapolis, which will begin service on May 3, and Nashville, commencing on April 12. Both routes will be served by the new A321XLR aircraft, which brings the total number of transatlantic routes operated by the airline from Dublin, Shannon, and Manchester to 24.
The A321XLR features 184 seats in two-class layout, with 16 full-flat Business Class seats and 168 economy class seats. The aircraft boasts the widest single-aisle cabin in its category, providing passengers with enhanced comfort, including wider seats, larger overhead bins for 60% more cabin bags, and cutting-edge in-flight entertainment.
Aer Lingus also plans to expand its A321XLR fleet from two to six aircraft in 2025, further solidifying its leadership position at Dublin Airport connecting North America and Europe.
