Technical Aircraft Management Programme


This programme has been developed by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) and College Ireland in partnership with the Aviation Leasing Sector, where Ireland is a global leader.

Who is this programme intended for?


The programme is intended for people who wish to work as Technical Representatives in the Leasing Sector (or may already have some experience within the Sector), or for those who may be working for companies who have to interact with this Sector and want to have a better understanding of how it operates.

Likely participants will have a good technical knowledge of the industry and very often will be B1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers or may be people with good experience in; Technical Records, Planning, Materials or MRO management.

Programme Duration 


We are planning to run this course in Dublin starting in April on the weekend of the 5th & 6th (and starting in Shannon a week later, 12th & 13th). Lectures will run on Friday evenings approx. 6.30-9.30 and all day Saturday for 10 weekends

Programme Accreditation


At the end of each week there will be an IAA/College Ireland examination and a certificate will be awarded.

Participants, who attend all stages of the programme, do the required assignments and successfully sit a number of examinations set by IT Carlow will qualify for a certificate awarded by IT Carlow “Special Purpose Award Certificate in Business in Technical Aircraft Management”. This award qualifies for 30 ETCS credits (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). Graduates of the course may qualify for advanced entry into a BBS Honours Degree programme.
