Fokker Next Gen announced that ASL Aviation Holdings DAC, with five airlines based in Europe and Australia, and three associate and joint-venture airlines in South Africa and Asia, has joined Fokker Next Gen’s Airline Advisory Group. The strategic partnership brings ASL Aviation Holdings into a select group of forward-thinking airlines collaborating with Fokker Next Gen to provide feedback into the development phase of the Fokker Next Gen aircraft.

ASL Aviation Holdings Director, Hugh Flynn, stated “ASL is delighted to join Fokker Next Gen’s Airline Advisory Group. Being a member of this group further strengthens ASL’s commitment to supporting companies that are at the forefront in the introduction of new emissions reduction technologies. At ASL, we are focused on how new technologies will change and improve aviation, and how we can be at the forefront of that change.”

Fokker Next Gen’s CEO, Juriaan Kellermann, said “Having ASL Aviation Holdings DAC on board is a major step in expanding the scope of our Airline Advisory Group. The insights they bring from the cargo side of the industry will be invaluable as we continue developing aircraft that meet the evolving needs of air operators while pushing the boundaries of sustainability. Together, we can shape a future where aviation is carbon emission free and economically viable for both passengers and cargo.”

As part of the Airline Advisory Group, ASL Aviation Holdings will provide unique insights from the cargo and passenger sector, helping shape Fokker Next Gen’s development of their next-generation aircraft.
The Fokker Next Gen Airline Advisory Group is being assembled to capture customer needs, learn from daily aircraft operations, and explore the challenges and solutions related to hydrogen-powered aircraft.  The formation of the Airline Advisory Group will allow for (potential future) customer and operator insights to be considered during the development phase of the Fokker Next Gen clean sheet aircraft.
