Edelweiss a Swiss leisure airline, charter airline and the sister company of Swiss International Air Lines is to connect Cork to Zurich twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays using Airbus A320-200 aircraft in Summer 2022 effective from 15th April as part of a significantly expanded schedule.
The carrier will operate 75 holiday destinations in 32 countries worldwide in its 2022 summer flight schedule. This is 13 destinations more than this summer, increasing the number of short haul flights has been increased by 16% compared to summer 2021 and inceasing long-haul programme by 185%.
The carrier will resume service to North American destinations Tampa Bay (Florida), Denver, Las Vegas, Calgary and Vancouver . In Europe Bergen in Norway, Bilbao in Spain and Cork in Ireland added to the route network.
Edelweiss operates a fleet of 10 Airbus A320-200s and 4 Airbus A340-300 aircraft. According to demand the carrier has flexibility to add capacity by any of various SWISS aircraft types with a SWISS crew as a sister company.
