Ryanair Boeing 737-8AS 

In a break from it’s usual European sectors Ryanair’s EI-DYE Boeing 737-8AS construction number 36568 operated a Dublin to Kiev sector on 22 March according to open source website Flightradar24.com as RYR94P returning the next day as RYR95P to Dublin for the announcement the carrier is adding Ukraine, its 36th country, from October 2018.

Ryanair plans to deliver 800,000 passengers per annum at two major Ukraine airports with 10 new Kiev routes to Barcelona, Bratislava, Gdansk, Krakow, London Stansted, Poznan, Stockholm, Vilnius, Warsaw and Wroclaw and 5 new Lviv routes to Dusseldorf, Krakow, London Stansted, Memmingen and Warsaw, operating a total of 46 weekly flights.

Ukrianian media outlet Kyiv Post reported 22 February that Ukraine International Airlines intends to launch a new Dublin-Kiev route in 2020. Later this year the EU and Ukraine are expected to sign a new ‘Open Skies Agreement’ which could pave the way for increased competition between EU and Ukrainian carriers.
