The first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner registered in Ireland EI-LNA c/n 35304 Norwegian Long Haul on Thursday 4th July operated its first revenue service from Oslo Gardermoen Airport to/from Malaga and London Gatwick. Norwegian becomes the third European operator of the 787 following LOT Polish Airlines and Thomson Airways.

Norwegian and Panasonic Avionics Corporation have jointly developed over the last 18 months the first ever Android™ powered in-flight entertainment system its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, enabling passengers to navigate and select movies, music, and Android games, as well as purchase snacks and drinks, just as they would on their personal device, directly from a touch screen installed in the seats.

Oslo – Malaga – Oslo: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
Oslo – Alicante – Oslo: Monday and Friday
Oslo – Barcelona – Oslo: Monday and Friday
Oslo – London – Oslo: Thursday and Sunday
Oslo – Nice – Oslo: Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday

Norwegian’s second Boeing 787-8 EI-LNB c/n 35305 was at Boeing Paine Field pre-flight preparation area on 30th June.

The carrier currently has eight 787 Dreamliners on order, three of which will be delivered in 2013, four in 2014 and one in 2015.
