Dublin-London retained its position as Europe’s busiest city pair in 2024, marking a third consecutive year, according to Eurocontrol’s latest ‘Data Snapshot 49’ released on February 14, 2025. The city pair, saw an average of 91 daily flights throughout the year, operated by Ryanair (38 flights), Aer Lingus (26 flights), and British Airways (20 flights).

The busiest segment of the route was Dublin-London Heathrow, with 36 daily flights, followed by London Gatwick and London Stansted, each handling 19 flights per day. Other connections between Dublin and London City, Luton, and Biggin Hill rounded out the busiest direct links, with 9, 8, and 1 daily flights, respectively.

The second busiest (37th globally) was Amsterdam London, with 84 daily flights, down from 105 in 2019, when it was the busiest European route. Part of the decrease can be attributed to the improved direct train service connecting the two cities.

The third busiest European city pair in 2024 was the domestic Turkish route between Antalya and Istanbul, with 69 daily flights.
