The first visit of Airbus A321Neo built at Airbus production facility in Mobile (BFM), Alabama occurred on 30 March as N2180J Airbus A321-271NX msn 11838 JetBlue named ‘Mint For Big Things’ in “Ribbons” tail design colours diverted to Shannon 30 March en-route London Heathrow (LHR) to New York JFK. N2180J departed Shannon to Boston 8 April as JBU8449 .

N2180J first visited Dublin 15 April on JBU353 service from Boston returning to New York JFK as JBU842.
Flightradar24 data reveals N2180J delivered Mobile (BFM) to Melbourne (MLB) 14 March. On 27 March departed Melbourne (MLB) to New York (JFK) entering service same day to Los Angeles (LAX).

Airbus began producing A320 family aircraft in Mobile in 2015 and delivered its first aircraft from its U.S. facility in 2016. In 2017, Airbus announced it would begin producing Airbus A220 aircraft at the same site, and delivered its first aircraft in 2020. In 2022, Airbus announced it would build a second 350,000-square-foot A320 Family Final Assembly Line (FAL) to ramp up production. Airbus is targeting the third quarter of 2025 for completion of the expansion project. To date, more than 400 aircraft have been delivered to 14 customers.
