EI-CXR Boeing 737-329 Transaero Airlines TSO9431 arrived in Shannon Airport on the evening of Monday 13th August for the first heavy maintenance check to be carried out by Transaero Engineering Ireland Ltd on behalf of it’s parent company following the acquisition of Air Atlanta Aero Engineering Ltd in April, the aircraft is no stranger to Irish skies previously operated by Sabena Airlines.
This aircraft had previously visited Shannon for maintenance with Air Atlanta Aero Engineering from 1st to 12th May 2005 (Malcom Nason).
Transaero Engineering Ireland Ltd employs 241 staff including 16 apprentices hired this year with plans to hire 100 staff over the next 12 months performing MRO services on Boeing 737, 757 & 767 aircraft for aircraft leasing companies, airlines, cargo, corporate operators . It holds approvals from various airworthiness authorities including Bermuda, Chad , Canada, Cayman, EASA, FAA Nigeria and UAE.
A number of Transaero Engineering Ireland’s staff are currently undergoing EASA 147 training on the Boeing 747 & Boeing 777 aircraft for line/project maintenance work to enhance the product range. The company currently has vacanies on it’s website for B1 & B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers for Boeing 747-300/400, Boeing 767, Boeing 777 aircraft and Unlicensed Mechanics.
Transaero Airlines operates a fleet of 92 Aircraft comprising of Boeing 737s, 747s, 767s, 777s with 8 Airbus A320Neo & 4 Airbus A380s and 4 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners on order.
