Iberia Airlines announced 5 April establishment of South Europe Ground Services (SOEGS) a new handling company of the IAG Group, commencing operations in mid-May. SOEGS will provide ground handling services for Iberia, Iberia Express, Vueling and Level at all Spanish airports and passenger handling services for British Airways, Air Nostrum and Aer Lingus.

South Europe Ground Services (SOEGS) with 100% IAG capital and a majority of Iberia shareholding, is the result of the agreement reached between Iberia and its trade unions on 2 February.

Separately IAG Group has set up IAG Airports to enable Group’s transformation efforts, including synergies, across its network, combining skilled procurement knowledge with deep expertise in airport infrastructure, ground operations, lounges, hotels, transportation and fuel. IAG Airports works with the Group’s airlines and supply markets to accelerate the adoption of transformative technology, particularly automation across ground operations.

In addition Gatwick Ground Services (GGS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways provides a full range of ground handling services at London Gatwick (LGW) and London City Airport (LCY).
