Ryanair announced for winter 2013/4 further expansion of its Morocco route network with two new routes between Girona and Madrid to Rabat, operating four and three times weekly respectively from 6th November and 7th November.

Ryanair’s Spain Sales and Marketing director Fernandez-Mellado said “The demand promises to be huge.”

The airline currently operates eight routes between Spain and Morocco and three routes from Rabat to Brussels Charleroi, Marseille and Paris Beauvais.

Rabat, literally “Fortified Place” is the capital and third largest city of the Kingdom of Morocco with a population of approximately 650,000 (2010). It is also the capital of the Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer region.
