On Saturday 3 March Irish budget carrier Ryanair took delivery of a triplet of Boeing 737-800s. The aircraft EI-GDY Boeing 737-800 c/n 44818 , EI-GJD Boeing 737-800 c/n 44823 and EI-GJE Boeing 737-800 c/n 44821 where delayed due to Storm Emma with significant snow falls at Dublin Airport which adversely effected operations on 1 and 2 March.

The deliveries increase Ryanair fleet size to 425 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.  The Dublin based carrier is the largest 737-800 global customer and the largest Boeing operator in Europe. The Irish carrier is on average taking delivery of 25 737-800s per year since 1999.

The next largest operators are American Airlines 310 aircraft, Turkish Airlines 68 aircraft and Southwest Airlines 188 aircraft.
