Irish budget carrier Ryanair 26 March 2025, acquired a brand new Bombardier BD100 1A10 Challenger 3500 aircraft. The aircraft registered M-ABUS (msn 21012) to Isle of Man based Aviation Finance and Leasing, routed Montréal-Dublin-London Stansted.
According to Bombardier Aerospace, the Challenger 3500 boasts an industry-leading dispatch reliability of over 99.8% and can be ready for flight in under seven minutes. With a range of 3,400 nautical miles (6,297 km), the aircraft reaches cruising altitudes of up to 41,000 feet and a top cruise speed of Mach 0.83. It is powered by Honeywell HTF7350 engines and accommodates up to 10 passengers.
The Challenger 3500 is also notable for its sustainability credentials, carrying an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). Bombardier remains the only business jet manufacturer to have published EPDs for its aircraft and offsets all operational flights with Sustainable Aviation Fuel through the Book-and-Claim system.
The aircraft is based at Ryanair primary London Stansted maintenance hub for 24/7 AOG and crew deployment support across its route network of 230 airports and 36 countries, supporting 3,600 daily flights.
