Aer Lingus Airbus A330-300

Aer Lingus this morning said that total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional, was up 2.4 percent to 1,046,000 passengers compared to 1,021,000 in the same month a year ago.

It’s Transatlantic segment continues to deliver very strong growth carrying 129,000 passengers up 20.6% with a load factor of 84.5% up 0.1 points on a 26% increase in capacity, reflecting positive impact of newly launched services from Dublin to San Francisco and Toronto.

Aer Lingus Regional services operated by Stobart Air carried 122,000 passengers up 35.6% benefiting from connecting passenger on new Aer Lingus Transatlantic routes and launch of summer scheduled.

On short-haul Aer Lingus carried 795,000 passengers down 3.5% with a load factor of 74.6% down 2.6 points reflecting the negative impact of one day IMPACT cabin crew stoppage on Friday 30th May.

Year to date the airline has carried 4.11 million passengers up 2.2%.
