TAAG Angola Airlines has taken delivery of its first A220 aircraft. US based lessor Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has delivered D2-TAA Airbus A220-300 msn 55294 to Luanda based TAAG Angola Airlines, on 27 September routing via Dublin on delivery from Montreal to Faro.
The A220-300 is operating high-demand domestic routes and intra-Africa network, a further step in the airline modernization and growth path, which includes a more versatile fleet under TAAG’s 2024-2029 expansion plan.
The airline configured the A220 with 137 seats featuring 12 in business class and 125 in economy class.
This aircraft is the first to feature the new livery, highlighting the PALANCA on tail and winglets while the color pattern is inspired by Angola’s traditional fabrics.
The carrier has 15 A220-300 on order to be sourced through four leasing companies, namely Air Lease Corporation (ALC), Aviation Capital Group (ACG), Azorra, and Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).
