On Monday 10th May ET-ALJ Boeing 767-300(ER)  MSN 33767 operated by Ethiopian Airlines operated a return charter from Dublin to Beirut. The aircraft positioned from Addis Ababa on Sunday 9th May as ETH8999 arriving 0348 local. 

The aircraft departed Dublin as ETH8801 at 0722 local and returned to Dublin as ETH8802 at 1905 local and positioned back to Addis Ababa as ETH8999 departing at 2128 local arriving back its base at 0737 local next day.

According to Planespotters.net the United Nations operates a mixed fleet of 20 aircraft with flying outsourced to a number of operators  including one Airbus A320-200 operated by Avion Express, one Boeing 767-300(ER) operated by Ethiopian Airlines, one CRJ100 operated by Cemair. Eight CRJ200s are operated by Voyageur Airways, four DHC8-100s operated by Aircraft Leasing Services (ALS), 748 Air Services,Voyageur Airways and one DHC8-300 operated by Voyageur Airways. Aircraft Leasing Services (ALS) operates five ERJ135/145’s on behalf of the United Nations.

The United Nations (UN) Secretariat is mandated to provide a variety of air charter services that ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective air transportation in support of UN operations providing cargo and logistical re-supply, monitoring, aerial Survey and observation passenger, military / police rotation, and VIP flights and Medvac flights.
