WestJet announced a significant increase in international travel opportunities with the initial release of its summer 2024 schedule. The airline is set to introduce 10 new routes and return or extend 16 routes with confirmation for Irish market Halifax to Dublin and Toronto-Dublin as part of its robust growth strategy, propelled by its growing Boeing 737 MAX fleet.
WestJet Group Executive Vice-President & Chief Commercial Officer John Weatherill said “This summer will see the return of seasonal, leisure-focused flying, to connect Eastern and Western Canada, and substantial growth in service to sun destinations, further cementing our position as Canada’s leading leisure airline. At our global hub in Calgary and cities across the country, WestJet’s schedule supports Canada’s visitor economy with more than 75,000 seats arriving each week from Europe, Asia and the United States.”
The carrier will commence 19 June Halifax to Dublin operating four times weekly and Toronto to Dublin daily from 1st March operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft and will resume seasonal service to Calgary 29th April operating five times weekly operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
